Photographing the Police Horses in Sydney | Mounted Police Sydney

Who wouldn't dream of taking photos of famous horses? I've got a chance to photograph these amazing, calm horses, who serve us on the site of the Police officers.

Mounted police horse photography Sydney

I photographed 2 horses. I wish there would have been more spots and more time to photograph. These beauties are so well taken care of, maybe better than some people.

Jubilee (stable name ‘Baby’) is a Percheron x Clydesdale and a firm favourite in the stables. He possesses a beautiful gentle nature, despite his 18 hand stature.

Mounted police Sydney has absolutely stunning police horses. The other cutie horse I photographed is Troop horse P.D. (Police Detective) is a 17 year old Clydie Cross. He also acts like a 2 year old, squealing when feeling good, demanding attention and being generally mischievous whilst constantly thinking he IS a person.

I fall in love with him!!

Cannot wait for my next photoshoot with horses with personalities like these had.

Again for the Mounted police, it was my pleasure to be there since "The New South Wales Mounted Police Unit is the oldest continuous operational Mounted unit in the world. It was formed by Governor Brisbane on the 7th September, 1825. In comparison the London Metropolitan Mounted Police were formed in 1828 and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1863." who wouldn't be proud photographing some of their horses.

Hope you had a good read and liked the photos too!

Have a lovely day,
